Notebook display issues

Go to solution Solved by DoubleY,

I know that but I just wanna know if it is normal to be like that...I mean is it broken or something or it's just a cheap display...

How come a cheaper notebook has better display than mine?

Thanks for the answer...

It could just be a shitty panel. You tend to find that a lot in the Notebook world if you don't look hard enough ;)

No website that I looked at even mentioned the panel type, so it must be unknown, or such a bad panel there is no point in telling you what it is :P

Hi everybody...

I just got a brand new HP, a probook 4540s...Everything is good except the screen...

White is not really what I'm looking for, I mean it is kinda reddish or yellowish.I can't really distinguish between shades of colors and the colors are kinda washed out...Everything seems to be too bright but lowering the brightness does'n help.

I compared the display with an asus notebook that is cheaper than my hp and it has an amazing display...It has good white.

In my case colors are not very vibrant and the text and everything else is not as clear as it is on the asus notebook...

I returned a lenovo notebook for this problem and I tough that a new brand will be better...I mean I can't possible be that unlucky to get 2 notebooks with bad displays...But I war wrong

What may cause this issues and what should I do?

If you want, we can help you look into Notebooks that have good reviews based on screen quality and/or hardware.

Well I'm just gonna stick with this one...Thanks for the help

I've been watching Linus videos since 2008 and I learned a lot of things but I just can't predict what the panel will be like when the product arrives...I mean I know a lot of stuff about computers but I don't get to experience with more than what I have.

I'm an enthusiast pc geek so I'm never really happy with what I have and I'm always looking to more performance and generally better and better quality...But I mean that's out of my budget range :))

Thanks for your help again I wanted to know if it is broken and I now know it isn't.
