I have an 1080 founders and if i get a asus strix 1080 will that work ?

Yes. As long as the physical GPU die/Core is the same, you can SLI them.

The sli bridge has to align if you want the high bandwidth ones.

yes you can mix 2 brands for sli.

The GPU models need to match. Doesn't matter who fabbed the PCB. So, yes.

Yes, but you will be stuck using the ribbon cables as the strix wont match the reference board. Will also down clock heavily. Better off get another fe.
