Macbook Pro 2015 model not working on triple screen?

SoftwareNinja

Hi all,

I currently have my Macbook Pro wired up to 3 monitors all 1920x1080 in max resolution but it will only detect 2 of the 3?

The centre monitor is plugged into the main HDMI port on the laptop and then the 2 other monitors are connected via thunderbolt to HDMI Adapters.

Is there a way I can get the third monitor to work or am I stuck with just the two?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about the HDMI version used, but since Apple lists

  • Support for 1080p resolution at up to 60Hz

I'm wouldn't be surprised if that translated to 2 1080p monitors at 30 Hz. It's a bandwidth issue.

You can try the Thunderbolt ports with adapters for more screen real estate.
