RAM compatibility

Hi guys. Can i add different brands for RAM but the speed are the same. 2400?

Yep. As long as the speed and CAS latency are the same, you should be fine.

good to know i'm planing to add more rams. what i have now is hyperx 2400 8GB. and mix it with Corsair vengeance LPX 2400 will this be okay?

I've always bought identical RAM, more from an OCD perspective than compatibility issue.

 

Why can't you buy another kit of HyperX?

Might not boot at first and need you to manually clear CMOS on the MB so that they all run at the same 2113 speed, but changing the speed afterwards should make it so they all run at the same specs.

Maybe try removing the old ones and booting with the new ones instead as well, then re-adding the old ones if that doesn't do it, hard to say.

I'd go with buying the same RAM if possible just to be safe

well... test it then... the worst that can happen is that it doesn't work with both inserted

try them in dual channel first, if that doesn't next to each other
