Using a projector on a wardrobe

I want to be able to watch content in bed but not using my laptop. I was thinking about getting a projector to display the content on my wardrobe.

I have made a mock up of my room and shown where the projector would go.

 

Would this work?

Whilst I think that projectors show best on white walls, since I will only use it at night will the colour of the wardrobe matter so much?
