Morning all,

So my current specs are as follows:

Motherboard - MSI B150M Night Elf
Processor - Intel i5 7400
Cooler - Intel Xeon Stock cooler
RAM - 4x 4gb 2400mhz DDR4
Graphics Card - Asus R9 290x DCU II
Power Supply - Generic
Boot Drive - 256 Samsung NVME (connected to pci-e x16 slot via adapter)
Storage - 1x 1tb WD Red
WiFi card - Startech PEX867WAC22
Case - Lenovo P310

And i have just found an 8gb 2400 DDR4 stick in my drawer.

So i was wondering how much of a benefit / detriment it would have if i swapped one of the 4gb sticks for the 8gb.

I know it may not run in Dual Channel mode but the increase in capacity may be worth it.

I use my build for Photo editing and video editing (no gaming)
