Hey LTT community

I've recently been given an EVGA gtx 970 which had a burned out mosfet

I had a pretty low end system at the time so while the card was getting fixed I took the liberty of getting a new 500w power supply

Once I got the card my whole world came crashing down

I deleted my old drivers replaced my old gt 520 with the 970 and nothing works

The only display I get is from on board vga and the 970 isn't even detected

After all of this and clearing my cmos it went even further down hill

Now I can even get it to boot into windows even from on board

So that's why I'm here

To ask for your help

King regards

Rex

Burnt Mosfet means the power delivery system is effectively dead. Unless you can repair it or have a shop that can, your out of luck with that card.
