Need help with pump

So I finally just finished my first custom loop.  The issue I'm having is the pump dosent work.  I have it plugged into the water pump header but it dosent work so which header should I plug it into?  The pump is the ek x res 140 pump cpu combo and my Mobo is the Asus prime x470. Thanks

pretty sure EK's D5 pump needs molex power as well as a header

I have it plugged into a molex cable from a different psu since my psu didn't come with a molex cable

Have you checked your bios to make sure the rpm isnt really low on the pump? You can also try unplugging the header and using just molex to see if it works at all

Yea it says not available I did try running it with just molex and still no luck

Are you turning the other psu on? 

Why not connect it to the pcs actual psu. 

 

Also don’t need it plugged into a header at all right now. But trying any header would be a good start.

Pick up cheap china pump or something,  it's fine...d5 on level 3 stuff.
