Why do you need to get a 580? Why not a 600 series card or a 79xx cards? What resolution will you be playing at? Dual fan coolers often provide better cooling than single fan coolers.

Grab a 7950, it's the fastest card that you can get under 300 pounds.

Go for the MSI Twinfrozr III, HIS IceQ2 or Sapphire Dual-X.

The Xfx card is interesting for it's lifetime waranty, but it clearly doesn't have the best cooling

I looked at the "customer reviews" on your website and some of them had a voltage locked card.

You definitely wont go wrong with this. The cooler isn't the best of non-reference performers but it still blows the reference cooler out of the water, not to mention it is the most beautiful GPU cooler to this day (in my opinion anyways :D ). As for the 7970, well that's quite obvious. Top tier card = Top tier performance. Go for it. :)

Asus GTX 670 Direct CU mini anyone?

Don't let the size fool you, it's a great card.

Edit: Sorry, missed the post where the OP mentioned the budget. I'd go for a 650Ti Boost for now, or wait until summer and see what you can get when the 7xx's roll out.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.
