My OverClock

I overclocked my i7-8700K back in june and i thought it was fine. I did a stress test recently and noticed it was overheating when stressed. I lowered the voltage. Im just wondering if this is safe.

The junction temperature for the 8700K is 100c, so yes anything under 90c is fine. Ideally a little cooler but I wouldn't worry if I was getting to the high 80's on occasion. Anyway this guy got 75c under AIDA64 so he has nothing to worry about for any standard workloads.

yeah... but it would shorten lifetime if it would come above 82 degrees continiously... but I get the idea of what you mean
