why no go for a 6700k? your motherboard can handle overclocking as long as you have a decent cpu cooler. And 12gb of ram should be fine, i rarely run into games that use that much. Most games (i've played) cap at around 8-9gb, and battlefield is the only one i've played that went over 12gb

If you can find a good deal on k chip.

I still would absolutely use my 7700k and evga..no question.

But I just feel like dogging out Ryzen the 2600x right now....even simpler system to run and so close to Performance if not better in some things.

At this point absolutely MSI or EVGA...so simple of a BIOS and intuitive to use.

It's Asus that's a little weird with Scrolling Menu's and Drop downs and stuff.

MSI has about the easiest flash Mflash I think I ever seen...not hard to find in the bios and will find you're Bios file immediately.

The EVGA I flash in Windows and it went well...but it is showing some weird Clock readings like their lower....

2600x 4.3ghz-Loop

Msi X470 gaming plus

EVGA SuperSC CL16 3200 16gb

gtx 1060

pny nvme 480gb

mushkin eco3 480gb

Sound Blaster Audigy FX

Cooler Master GXII Pro 750w.
