core i5 bottlenecking gtx 1070

Core i5 6400
Gtx 1070 8gb
8gb ram 
Msi h110 pro-D
500 watt power supply 
1tb hard drive

 

I recently upgraded my 950 to a 1070 and I’ve noticed when I’m gaming my cpu usage is vary high sometimes at a consistent rate of 100%. So I’m looking to buy a new cpu that does not bottleneck my gpu. I was told that the intel core i7 6700k would work fine and not bottleneck and it would also be compatible with my motherboard and power supply. When I game I get 50 to 60 frames no matter what setting I’m on. What are your thoughts?

You probably have VSync on, try turning that off.
