Phanteks P350x RGB not working + no boot drive?

I recently built a new pc in the Phanteks P350X case, once I booted and all was done, i noticed that the front RGBs were not working and the RGBs on the side panel were but were constantly blue and breathing, I was unable to change the colour and mode on the front IO.

I looked on forums to find a solution and apparently the RGB 3 pin does not need to be connected to control the RGBs with the front IO. So, i unplugged the cable and rebooted. However, once i rebooted, with the cable removed, my PC did not boot into windows and came up with a message saying "Please insert boot device" (Or something along those lines). As of this i reconnected the RGB cable and it works completely fine now.

What the heck is the issue?? I know that RGB is not a necessity but it would be nice to have the option, especially as it was a reason for why i bought this case.

Specs:
Asrock B450 pro4
Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970
AMD ryzen 5 2600
2 X 8GB Corsair Lpx 3000mhz RAM

Usually, no boot device means that your drive (SSD/HDD) got disconnected. So, perhaps when you were fiddling with the cables, it disconnected the SATA power or SATA data cable. I'd check those, first.
