So I got a new GPU (XFX RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooled) and I did a bottleneck calculation on it through the use of an online bottleneck calculator. It says I had about 12% of bottleneck on my i5-7600k and RX Vega 64. I'm not really sure how much it affects it but can anyone tell me what actually happpens when a cpu and gpu is bottlenecked? Will anything bad happen to my pc?

@Adrian Angeles

there's no such thing as a bottleneck calculator, this is all just crap.

but yes generally at 1080p on modern games your i5-7600K will bottleneck your RX Vega 64, but if you're running at 1440P or 4K then the bottleneck will be even lower and probably non existent at 4k.

and it really depends on what games you're playing, bottlenecking is very hard to define universally and you have to understand why and how it happens first
