Hi guys this is austin.

uhm so, here is my spec.

R7 2700x

Corsair Dominator Platinum 2*16gb 3000mhz

Kraken x62

Gtx 1060

Corsair Rm750x

case h200i

and few settings that i already mess around in the Bios

1. Soc 1.1v

2. Ram -> 3000mhz

3. Performance enhancer lv 3

4. Core Performance Boost -> enable

5. Ram Voltage 1.35v

results :

Stress test 4 hour, aida64

max 4.125mhz all core, at stable around 80c max temp is 87c

ambient temp around 25c

cause i mainly use this system for corona renderer. and the benchmark result is around 1:59, while in the user result board for ryzen 2700x the fastest is 1:43

i wonder if i could get a better result or more optimize or better overclock ?

Note: im really new in overclocking area. please bear with me..

Seems like that board is using some pretty high voltages. I've only recently gotten my Ryzen 2600X, and I'm keeping it at around 60-65C on a 92mm ITX cooler at around 4ghz. So a X62 shouldn't have that high thermals. I'd look into the POB scalers first, and not touch those performance boosters just yet.

I think it's in your advanced BIOS. Under NBIO settings.

4 hours of stress testing *-* i only do it for 15 min bruhh... I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH (pun intended) change your stock thermal paste bro corsair's is really bad I personally have a H100i v2 and thermals drop by like 15 degress or so. Start witht that first

My PC is a fast boyo:

6700K - 32GB - 1080 - 256GB EVO

^^You don't need more info than this right?^^

Set that scaler to x2 or x3 to not have it overvolt as much. You can then play with LLC a bit to stabailize it some more.

If you have fast memory, also make sure to use the DOCP standard, and not manually set it to it's spec.

The scalar option, leave the rest to auto. Higher scalar means higher voltages and longer. LLC is the same. I set my 2600X to x2 scalar and LLC level 2. But you should experiment.

I know, i'm just regretting my purchase, got it for too cheap, >$130 after taxes and shipping

Had used Asrock boards in the past (Taichi tho) and they were absolutely amazing, nevertheless i'm glad Ryzen master exists

Try flashing the BIOS to the latest version. I think I had to do that as well.

It's the newest bios already,

So today changed my radiator fan from thermaltake ring plus to aer p fan, it does run cooler now underload. Around 70c but it running slower.. peak at 4ghz all core

It's really weird, I try the dual intelligent processor from Asus

It run fine at 4200mhz just 69c. Do it need to reset it back and let xfr take care of the overclock or just let it run 4200mhz ?

Msi X470 gaming plus

EVGA SuperSC CL16 3200 16gb

So in the end,

Now this is my situation

1. Fresh windows

2. Default bios even memory at 2133

3. Changed my radiator fan kraken x62 to aer p 140 that come with the box that much air flow compare to before thermaltake riing plus

4. Changed themal paste to grizzly kyronaut

Result

Stable 65~70c with peak speed 4050 all core..

Every time the temp reach 64 it will directly go to 75 then drop again rinse and repeat, is there something wrong ?

Gonna try Ram at 3000mhz
