Hey guys,

I'm about to buy a new motherboard, cpu and RAM. But I want to know if it's necessary to clean install my windows, since I'm going from AMD to Intel. I really don't want to re-install windows since it takes couple of hours to install, downloading my programs again,...
Thx for the answers!

It may work without the reinstall. Try it first. I put a drive from an Intel laptop into an AMD desktop and it worked seamlessly.

Im fairly sure you dont have to. There's nothing in the CPU or RAM that needs to be installed. Give it a whirl, you certainly wont damage anything.

LOOK AT MY TUBE, MY TUBE IS AMAZING. DONT LICK IT IT DOESN'T TASTE LIKE ANYTHING. IT DOESN'T HAVE A MANE OR PENIS EITHER. SHUT UP.

you will probably need to install the new network and sound drivers but if your pc fails to boot, try to boot in safe mode, uninstall some of the drivers from the old motherboard and install the drivers for the new motherboard :)

i don't think so although it's always better to fresh install you os

If it's a different chipset, 9/10 times you need to reinstall. Though trying won't hurt, however, if it did work, it's still better to reinstall as some driver conflict issues might happen from the old setup.

As @TheSLSAMG said maybe your experience as well. I would recommend uninstalling the AMD drivers first then installing the Intel drivers for full stability.
