Hi,

I made a similar post to this over on Reddit and got some good information but I thought I'd come here and get some other opinions as well.

Essentially what I'm looking for is a mid to high level gaming and streaming PC. My budget is US$600-$900 and I'm not planning on streaming anything too intensive (really just DotA 2) but I'd like something that can handle higher level gaming as well without streaming (such as MH:W and R6S).

I plan on only using dual 1080p monitors however I am considering (not very likely) upgrading to 1440p but that's not a huge concern for me.

Peripherals are all good, nothing needed there.

The main reason I'm looking to upgrade is because my current rig is bottlenecking a bit more than I'd like (and fairly old; i7-4770 non-K with a 1050 Ti) and I do notice some dips in performance during streaming sessions. I've never built a PC before (I got my PC prebuilt and put a new GPU in it) so it's hard for me to research parts and what goes good together and that kind of stuff.

I was thinking AMD based due to their better performance for production tasks (I've heard) however I don't really have a preference either way.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks a ton!

I'd hold off until 3rd gen Ryzen. AMD's supposed to unveil them at next week's CES.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.
