You install it to the SSD.

Generally you'll want windows and frequently used programs on the SSD

windows doesn't work like that. you could try a cloning tool for it, but that's about it

Reinstall, yeah.

Windows: you'll definitely want on that SSD though- start with that and you'll be placed back to square one. Then set up the rest of your programs and deciding between putting them on the SSD or HDD.

However, 120GB isnt a great sum of space so you'll get windows on there plus a few other smaller programs. Don't expect any games unless theyre smaller like CSGO or something.

Alright you're a bit confused but I understand what you're asking. If you want games to load up quickly, you install them onto your SSD in Steam. When you click "install" there will be a bar that says something like Install to drive E:// or something. Click that a drop down menu will appear and then you select the drive you want to install the game on. Though I don't believe you'll be able to get much on to a 120 gb SSD. If you're really concerned about speeds, have a tight budget and need more storage space then I'd highly recommend a Firecuda Harddrive. It's a cross between an SSD and HDD, called an SSHD. I, personally, use a 1 TB firecuda and it is noticeably quicker with game installs and load times. It is damn close to SATA III SSD speeds, like splitting hairs close. It's not near NVME PCIe SSD performance. Suffice to say it blows a regular hard drive outta the water.

yeah i do think i am a bit confused. i think im confusing the ssd's purpose with the processor in a way. i think at this point because i have the smaller storage size the SSD will be used for Windows and maybe anything that would be suggested by you guys. would putting stream labs or obs on the SSD make any difference in performance?
