hi guys, bit of of a silly question but i have just installed a new GPU and it has a plastic shroud on the the NV link (same as you get over the pcie port), i didnt intend to use it, should i leave the plastic shroud on it or take it off?? silly i know but it dont say on any anywhere to remove it or not remove it, like i dont want it to melt onto my gpu lol

It's not going to melt.

 

You can leave it on or take it off, it's really up to you.

I've left mine on, more aesthetically pleasing

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.
