Bykski pumps, need info or opinions!

Jax_-

So I plan to order an EKWB 240 to start but I want to surprise my wife with a setup in the coming months and get her a water loop going too. With that being said I want to put it together with some cheaper parts I can find on ebay for instance or craigslist since she is using a hammy down 4790K build that used to be mine before I upgraded.

Bykski seems to be coming up in alot of my searches and second hand parts seem to be reasonably priced. Can anyone give me an opinion on them or any personal experiences using their products? Im fairly new into using non closed loop AIOs and am just now testing the waters with building a water loop using a kit so I am not very experienced with pumps BUT Ive heard not to go with anything but a D5 and Im not sure if that applies to a single make or model of a certain brand but yeh..

I appreciate any info given!

Yeah the EK setup is for my system, the Bykski setup would be for hers. Eh If I chose one my best guess would be this from Bykski

aliexpress has some resellers for Bykski and Barrow watercooling parts, consider looking there.

In regards to pumps, while i would trust Bykski and Barrow fittings, blocks, and res's.  I would not rely on their 'cheap' pumps. Im sure they will work, but longevity is a concern, they are not as well known, tried and tested.

I would get D5 pump over a cheaper alternative.

If it says its a D5 pump , then im sure its a regular D5 pump with their own top. So looks ok.

I’d run that. Looks pretty good for the price. Says it’s a d5 so you should be fine.
