fan headers incomplete

My motherboard has only 2 fan headers and my case has 2 front rgb fans and 1 normal back exhaust fan which i intend to swap out .

I will install 3 corsair ml 120 mil pro rgb fans 

But cant figure out which fan to plug where

just plug them into the 4 pin fan headers for power, and for the corsair fans you should get a controller with it to use the rgb

for the stock case fans and the corsair power is the same, the 4 pin fan headers. for the corsair you need a rgb controller to control the fans in colours properly

I need pwm control for The Corsair ML120 PRO 120mm Premium Magnetic Levitation RGB LED PWM Fan with Lighting Node 3 and fan hub but not for case fans

And CM k500l case http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/masterbox-k500l/

And that lighting node pro needs usb 2.0 header

pretty much yeah, pdm means it needs another pin (so 4 pin), but you can use a 3 pin fan on a 4 pin header without problems

 

your board has that header...

So will using a fan splitter grant me pwm for Corsair fans ?

as far as i know you can use pwm, but it will be for all 3 fans at the same time, not individually

just a plain splitter if you want to control them all at the same time, hubs are kinda out of my knowledge, you'll have to research on that yourself, or ask a cooling nerd around here about it.

Anything works. Only difference is that some hubs are packaged more nicely. Silverstone has well rated stuff, check if those are available for you.
