My game since i bought the pc has been freezing for 0.2 - 0.5 second everytime i peek an enemy or get killed by enemy or when i am inspecting a gun even in the main menu..and it seems to happen before hand. (Like im loading the enemy model or something) i tried everything and this only just begun happening but not after any update or changes to my computer. I tried verifying game files/ updated all drivers and even cleaned my computer this morning but i still get the same shitty experience. Worst part is telling teammates that i lag when i die...

my pc specs : i7 8700K asrock z370 pro 4 , Upgraded to MSI z370 a Pro now

gtx 1080 founders edition

game and windows running on SSD

Wireless steelseries 800 that uses different sound driver i think? but i ran cs before with it and there was no problem '' maybe wireless headphones causes stutter? idk ''

16gb corsair rgb ddr4 3000 MHZ '' overclocked in my motherboard , tried to use it without oc too dosent  help ''

i also tried all these and none worked PLEASE READ before you tell me the same thing i tried again.

i tried :

* reinstalling windows

* reinstalling steam

* verify game cache

* reinstall csgo

* change config

* change resolution

* all setings are on low

* my fps is 400-600

* uninstall graphics card driver using ddu

* put high preformance on power saving

* updating windows

* use time resolution

* disabled game dvr

* disabled unneccesary things in windows 10

* OC cpu and gpu and ram

* take off wireless heapdhones and use normal ones

*unpark cpu cores

#things maybe you should know :

- i have win 10 LTSB , tried win 7 and win 10 pro but same issue too

- i am running pretty much everything in the motherboard on auto even the ram mode , i tried xmp profile 2.0 but its the same so left it as default settings

- i have 100MB internet connection with latest drivers and its through cable not wifi

- i tried switching rams places in motherboard

- i tried 1 stick of ram , didnt help neither

- i bought NEW SSD just to install cs on it , still same results

-the tempreatures are perfectly fine for cpu , 45-60 under MAX load  and for gpu its between 70 and 80 under MAX load

i also tried ALL commands in console with cl_interp and rate , etc etc etc..nothing useful.

#THE ISSUE happens when im peaking an enemy as i stated , it also happens when im inspectating a skin in the main menu especially like the awp or something that covers the monitor pretty much

maybe there are other solutions i tried that i've forgot but pretty much i tried everything and none worked. my launch options are only '' -novid '' as other causes more lag according to valve..

thanks in advance.

#VIDEO EXPLAINING

 youtu.be/r4eKl6-IHBc

it dosent only happen in main menu , i am just trying to show you what happens when im peaking somewhere or an enemy , what happens when im inspectating the skins is what happens to me in the menu

TLDR: Client VAR jumps when im in the menu and when im spraying/peeking an enemy

UPDATE : it worked for 2 days , all what i did was formatting my pc , install windows 10 LTSB with updates , installing MSI live update to install drivers and play from different steam account and i didnt update the nvidia driver then suddenly it came back with horrible VAR again .. i think it has to do with my cpu voltages thing but i never touched it tbh , its all on auto but i think auto dosen't fit it !

Weird thing i noticed was the colors of my K70 keyboard changed  and the game was working fine , i wake up one day and colors changed again  to default '' red led '' and the game got fucked lol '' not sure if that's relatable maybe it installed drivers automatically that fucked up the game? idk  the iCUE wasn't installed , it just happened automatically !

sorry for the long text i am completely noob in this and so lost , never met so complicated problem in my life , waiting for some geniuses to help !

I'd say your best bet would be to go into your BIOS and set everything to default then, go back into Windows and update all your drivers manually.

CPU, MOBO, GPU and all that.

Does this only happen in CS:GO or, do you have similar issues with other games?

Here are some links for ya:

For future reference, all you have to do is go to your Motherboard's site and go to the support section.

And same for your CPU.

Ps.: Here's how you update your BIOS in case you are using an older one:

Put the file called E7B48IMS.280 on a USB drive and make sure that's the only thing on it.

Don't put it in a folder just drop it into an empty flash drive.

Then, you'll need to follow this guide:

Spoiler

In this video they copied everything but, most of the time when you do this the BIOS file won't show up so, you should only copy the BIOS file called E7B48IMS.280.

While flashing the BIOS do not unplug the USB and DO NOT shut your PC off. Wait for it to finish and then let it restart by itself.

After it finished just go into your new BIOS and reset to defaults then, you can boot back into Windows.

The links I gave you under the first spoiler should be all direct links but, your CPU only really needs the Chipset drivers that can be found on the Motherboard's support page.

For the Motherboard, you only really need the chipset and the audio drivers.

I included the VGA drivers as well just in case you want to try running CS:GO through your IGPU for testing purposes. Though, you'll need to enable the IGPU as well as connect your monitor to it if you want to do that.

Are you sure this isn't normal? How can you check all the stats in the menu?

im positive bro , when inspecting skins it should be like 0.5-1 MAX and in-game it should be 1 MAX mine goes to 15 sometimes which is RIDICILOUS

Can you tell me how you bring up the overlay that tells you about it? I'll give it a shot myself.

sure thing , type in console net_graph 1 and just go inside your inventory , make sure ur settings are low in graphics and then try to inspect your AWP or something and then spin it like i did in the video , if your var goes above 1 , thats weird. it will probably be between 0.1 and 0.4 which is the default

PS: there are 2 VAR'S in the net_graph , one is up which is what i am talking about '' client VAR '' and the other one is the internet't VAR which i have no problem with

I see now. I don't think you can do anything about this because this is probably the game's fault.

The VAR number is usually at 5.x or 10.x when opening the inventory for the first time.

Although, after opening a skin or a menu next time the number goes down to 1.x - 2.x for opening and when looking at a weapon I get about 0.3 VAR.

This is probably just the way the game handles texture loading.

It would explain why the game lags when a killcam jumps to an enemy but, it shouldn't happen after the first time.

Maybe there's a way to mess with the game's setting in order to load the textures faster but, I'm not sure how you'd do that.

Also, do you get tiny stutters while playing the game or, does it only happen while inspecting your weapon/ getting killed?
