Google Play Services Keeps Stopping

My cousin has this Samsung J7 2016  for more than two years now. And for the past few months the "google play services" on his phone keeps stopping. I've tried to restart, removing cache, force stopping, but nothing works. My friend reccomended me to update the software, but Google Play won't open on his phone, and I've tried to manually install the app (downloading the newest version form google, and installed it manually) but failed to install the new software. I noticed that his Play Services is a little outdated, and I think that's the reason that it keeps stopping. 

 

Do you have any idea to help?
