GTX 970 issue

So I picked up a GTX 970 SC Gaming for about $100 and I know it has some kind of issue with its VRAM. For 1080p Gaming, will this VRAM 3.5GB issue be that important and reduce performance to the point where its easy to notice or should I be fine?

Don't worry about it. The whole 3.5 gb is more about false advertising more so than performance issues.

Depends on the games you're playing, but generally no. I have a GTX 970 and it runs most games fine at 1080p high settings with 60 FPS.

You should be fine for most games, though if you run into issues where your games are stuttering and VRAM usage is exceeding ~3.5-3.7GB, I would suggest decreasing texture quality or filtering.

I never ran into it, and as a dedicated 1080p gamer, doesn't seem to be an issue.
