Twitch Streaming help please

So here's my system and what I want to do.\

Windows 10 Pro(Home is for scrubs)

i7-7700k @5Ghz(Under Water)

16GB DDR4 (2x8GB)

GTX970 (All 3.5+.5GB of it)

Comcast 400:15Mbps (Tested to Avg 375:10Mbps)

I want to start streaming some game play to Twitch, but I can't figure out what settings to use that will get me smooth video. Everything I've tried comes out choppy af.

I've tried using QuickSync to offload encoding to my iGPU(Enabled with 512MB of shared ram but no display attached)

I've tried using my GPU via EvEnc in OBS and via Shadow Play.

I've tried multiple settings for x264 CPU encoding.

The game I want to stream is MechWarrior Online and I get a solid 100fps+ in game without recording and around 90-100fps when recording depending on what Encoder is running.

What resolution your output is set to? What bitrate you have tried? Is the issue more about games lacking fps or stream looking bad/choppy?

For testing purposes, I'd recommend sticking with NVENC to ensure you're not dropping frames.

Since your video is choppy with NVENC, there's probably a sync issue between the game and the captured source. Try limiting your FPS to 60 or 61 and see if it helps..

I updated to OBS Studio and outside being limited by CPU core count and or GPU performance everything is working now. I can't use GSync while recording/streaming but I got it working at okay settings 1600x900p60. Good thing MWO can run on 2c/4t of my CPU so I can give OBS the other 2c/4t. I'm going to look into building a dedicated Capture/Streaming PC out of my dad's old i7-3770, but when I do I'll have to setup either a capture card or LAN streaming...
