Overclocking an x5670 isn't going to yield a very fast cpu setup and will just make it only a small bit faster while running very hot. unless you plan on running two of these then a newer budget cpu would be a better option

Depends on the voltage you'd be able to get, I recommend a dark rock 4 at least. If you prefer water cooling, you might need a double radiator, or at least a Corsair H80

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

4.5 GHz is not too shabby, if achievable. These old X58 setups are pretty great honestly.

There's a whole X58 Master race thread on the forum, I'm sure they'd have different opinions, and yeah, they all daily X58 systems too.

still not going to recommend an 80$ cooler for a 40$ cpu. thats when you change platforms.
