No. Its fine for a GPU to run that hot. But if it does go over 100degress then u have to start worrying.

fermi can handle around 105 degrees.

when you say full load what do you mean?

do you mean furmark burn in test being done for a long period of time until the temp stops going up?

do you mean max gaming temp?

if it reaches 88 degrees, and maintains that temp for extended periods of time while gaming I would say it's a bit high but nothing to worry about.

if it reaches 88 degrees and continues to rise then I'd say it's worrisome but it should be fine provided it's below 95 degrees.

I would test it under furmark burn in test for atleast 20 minutes and if it stabilizes at 88 degrees I'd say that it's perfectly fine,if not then obviously I've stated my opinion above.

do you have the fan set to 100% constantly while gaming or is it set to a fan curve?

if it's set to a fan curve I would advise you to turn it on manual fan speed and set it to 100% while gaming, because while a fan curve is more appealing for noise it's not as efficient in terms of cooling.it's always better to cool it the entire time with the full capacity of the heatsink to dissipate heat rather than to wait for it to heat up and then try to cool it down.

also you may want to try to lower the voltage and see if the overclock remains stable, doing so could lower the temps a significant amount.

and if you don't plan to upgrade the card before say....the GTX 800 series, then it could be worth your while to buy an aftermarket heatsink, assuming that your using the stock heatsink currently.

I'm using a GTX 480 and I've had good luck with the accelero twin turbo, really cheap at $40.

I'm able to overclock it to 840mhz core 20004 mem while maintaining complete silence in my pc and keeping temps at 76 degrees max.

and at 800mhz core it only reaches 72 degrees max, typically staying at around 66 degrees during most games.
