So…. for the first time i managed to activate the XMP protocol of my memory.. Apparently its now set for extreme speeds though if you check the benchmarks i guess people get crazy results with corsair vengeance sticks... I got the 3 ghz variant... the cpu limit seems to be 3 gz and the motherboard supports up to 3,2 ghz …

i do have a question though, 

for example is the primairy use for xmp gaming related or is this more of setting you would like to use when you editing for example?

xmp is just a fancy marketing thing, it's a one click overclock deal if you're feeling lazy to OC yourself hehe.

 

But yeah more performance is always better whatever you do, there's no point not to use that setting or even OC manually for even more optimal performance.

XMP tunes the memory frequency and timing beyond JEDEC standard and rated value to increase transfer rate and decrease latency.

It benefits both gaming and productivity workload.
