PURCHASED an 'INcompatible GPU"!!!

So, this morning I bought a GPU but when i put it in PCPARTPICKER it said it is incompatible now i just want to verify that and what i can do to fix this.

You need either a better PSU Or get sadly a molex to 8PIN adapter.

Powersupply has wrong connector, swap out for CX 550M from Corsair if you haven’t bought it yet.

 

If you have, grab an adapter from molex  to 8pin.

 

This is a very common issue, it’s something every builder has to check when matching up a PSU and Video card.

What OP needs is a molex to 8 pin adapter. The PSU is fine in terms of power delivery, it's just the cables are not the correct ones for the card.

I would recommend a dual 6 pin PCIe to 8 pin, but I could have sworn the vs had a 6+2 pin. It's still a craptastic PSU though.

I got a 6in LP4 to 8 Pin PCI Express Video Card Power Adapter, will it work.
