Ram lighting not working help please

I have an MSI B450 Tomahawk and Teamforce ram. Neither the teamforce software or the msi gaming app are working to change the ram lighting. When I try sometimes it will work on one stick for a minute then they both do whatever they want. I tried swapping the sticks with each other and it still wont work. Is this an issue with the motherboard or the ram?
