Router as a repeater

Hey ! So I planned to move at my dad's house but unfourtenately the wifi router is downstairs while my room is upstairs. I have a tp-link router laying around and would love to know if it was possible to change the the tp-link router as an extender. If it is possible could you guys explain how or link an article for me ? It would be great. Thanks !

Seems like a standard modem/router so I'm guessing no. If you have a long enough ethernet cable, you can connect it to the first router and use it as a second wireless access point.
