GTX 1060 D5X (or even D5) is a slightly better choices for games, while RX 580 is a more utilitarian card for both work and games.

However consider the price, RX 580 is the obvious winner.

As I've owned both the RX480 and now a GTX1060 (GDDR5) I can say I prefer the NVIDIA card.

AMD gave me driver problems all day long mate. To the point where I sold it.

I seem to be one of the few with this issue tho, but hey thought I'd let you know.

Sidenote:

RX480 & RX580 are not 'the same' but close enough to get my message across.

Driver issues are random and happen a lot with Nvidia too.

While true, it just happened over & over.

Can't tell you how many times I had to run DDU or even reinstall Windows to get the card working again properly.

To be fair it happens with NVIDIA as well, personally I've just been more lucky with their cards & drivers over the years.
