Hello guys,
currently im thinking about buying new CPU,Motherboard and RAM.
For now i stopped at these parts :
1. CPU i7-9700k
2. MB : ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING
3. RAM :  G.SKILL DDR4 2x8 2666 RipjawsV F4-2666C15D-16GVR

For GPU i allready have Gigabyte GTX 1060 6G Windforce , which is beeing stable at 2100 Hz core clock speed for more than a year.
For CPU cooler i allready have CM hyper 212 evo, which i think would be enough for i7 9700k, atleast until the warranty runs out, and ill be able to OC.
My Power Suply is Aurum GOLD 700W
My Case is CM Silencio 650 with 4 FANS(12 cm)

Em i on the right track, or im doing a horrible mistake ?

You're "doing" a horrible mistake.

What's your budget (for the PC) and location (country)?

I would hardly call a 9700K 'mid range' but your current GPU is definitely mid range. It's overkill for a 1060 but will give you room to grow and upgrade the GPU in future without 'bottlenecking' from the CPU.

Also, try to get a Z390 mobo, Z370 mobos will most likely need a BIOS update to work with 9th gen chips.

I world also use faster memory, aim for at least DDR4 3200, it's not much more than 2666. No need for the expensive low latency kits, even 3200 CL16 will work well.

Waaaaay to much CPU for that GPU IMO.

You would never notice that you have a 9700k with a 1060 or even a 1070. Just pick up a r5 2600 and some proper 3200 MHz b die ram.

I would rather get a stronger CPU now so I don't have to bother with it for a long time. If he decides to upgrade his GPU later on, the CPU and motherboard can just stay put. It's more future-proof.

Given how fast things have been moving recently I don’t think it makes any sense to try and future proof the CPU, the R5 will Be for the most part fine if the 9700k is fine just like how a quad core i5 or i7 had been fine for the past eternity till now that we see more thread utilization. The 2600 will be a fine choice for at least one more GPU generation/upgrade. Currently a 9700k and motherboard you should be using with it ends up at $600 when a good board you could use even with an R7 and a 2600 is $320. That saves you $280 now which is certainly enough for a CPU upgrade later which you can now do without getting another MB If you need it then that chip can get you another few years if you want.

I think this is being over thought though , why bank on using that PC for 4 + years if you don’t have to for some reason just save the cash now and see what happens in 4 years.

Well, i think i can just clock the RAM to 3200 ? , since the G.Skill RIPJAWS 2x8 GB 3200 has higher voltage, its like tthey OC the 2666 to 3200 and they are selling it like a new  model ?

i'd go with a z390 gigabyte motherboard for the 9700k, unless you are overpaying for aesthetics. As for the ram, you can probably overclock it to 3200 but it's not guaranteed, but if you need to save 20bucks, it's fine.

well said, ill go with  ASUS PRIME Z390-A LGA1151, and G.Skill Ripjaws 2x8 3000mhz then

Most likely you can, I mean I actually did that on my 8700K build, but I was re-using 2666 RAM from another build.

If building new I would just spend a bit more on the faster memory, no guarantees with overclocking after all.
