Pre-built system parts recyclable?

20181221_093040.thumb.jpg.b70163d84c65f7c1261aa9ea7bd28281.jpgI once bought a pre-built PC designed to play games on it in 2016 (CPU: i5-4something, GTX745, 4GB DDR3, 120 or 140 GB Samsung SSD) and as time went on, I needed better stuff to play decent games on it. I bought and built a custom-made PC and now my old motherboard, CPU and RAM  are lying around. As soon as I tried to fire them back on with the intention to install a new OS (Windows 10 intended), it started beeping and did not work. It had all of its previous parts (only the GTX745 and the original SSD were missing) built in. I couldn't even change the power supply, it would start beeping (even tho I used a better PSU)

Here's the question: Is it still possible to somehow use them? Or is everything ready to be trashed?
