Hi all,

I have an issue with my htpc

(ryzen 1600, gigabite b350 mobo, 16gb coraaid 3200 ram, Samsung 250gb ssd). It all started with Windows loading screen taking 5+ min to load in to Windows itself, see pic, (all while HDD indicator no blinking BTW) after all works perfectly fine.

Then I tried loading in to bios to see what's up. Again, all seems to be good in bios, ssd is detected, updated to latest bios version. Still takes 5 min to load in to Windows. I again went in to bios and then the error pops up that it dosent detect any disc drives in bios, actually there is nothing in bios, empty, only the error message and OK button. After pressing it goes in to boot secquence and again in 5 min boots in to Windows and works fine.

Anyone got any idea wtf is happening?

Thank you!

this is normal when using an SSD, at least for PCIe storage. Try a disk health check either using windows or a program of your choice.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

Might work sometimes, but I think it's not designed to do so. At least, that's probably what a lot of motherboard manufacturers use as an excuse.

If the SSD's SMART also comes back clean, it's likely something wrong with Windows. While I haven't tried this myself, this may help narrow down things: https://helgeklein.com/blog/2013/07/analyzing-a-slow-boot-with-windows-performance-recorder-analyzer/
