What is the policy on linking people to threads on other websites?

Edit: If there's a problem I can remove it later, there's a similar issue discussed on Tom's Hardware forums

There wasn't a "best answer" chosen, but they say to try power settings, check BIOS for FSB and multiplier, and to try updating BIOS version if all else fails.
