After watching Booting windows on SD card i went out and got a SD card and made my old dell optiplex 960 a nas using the SD card with windows and its working great no problems at all and i also use the old computer as a export system for my vidoes

Make sure to disable pagefile and to use either an internal or external storage device for your videos, SD cards have terrible read/write life. I've had a cheap 32GB MicroSD die on me after 400GB of transfers, which will quickly happen with pagefile enabled. 

 

File explorer > right click "This PC" > properties > Advanced system settings > Performance > Settings > Advanced Tab > Change > uncheck auto > select your C drive > select "no paging file" > click "set" > click "ok" > reboot. 
Read/write speeds are terrible on SD cards anyways, disabling pagefile will make it use purely ram for that cache, so you'll see great performance gains. 

This is something they didn't do in Linus' video and I'm interested to see what the difference would be in UI responsiveness.

I also use Remote Desktop I connect to it and make my exports and I use my old iPad mini as a monitor for the NAS using Remote Desktop app
