Hey there,

So I did my first post here:

And I have been planning as the ultimate upgrade later on to do a Threadripper sleeper PC.

Now, my main question to confirm this upgrade path is simple:

Are AMD's Threadripper motherboards compatible with any Am3/Am4 cases or are their screw holes somewhat different?

My Lanboy Original has a good few spots where I can mount screw tabs so if anything it might be possible to even fiddle with those and get it all perfectly aligned but I want to be 100% sure if this would be possible

Thanks in advance! Any help is appreciated.

Mounting holes of motherboards are standardized so as long as the motherboard is not too big, you will be able to mount it in your case.

Here is a picture that gives you an idea of the sizes and their mounting holes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATX#/media/File:ATX_ITX_AT_Motherboard_Compatible_Dimensions.svg

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

What do you mean AM3/AM4 cases? There's no such thing (as far as I know).

Awesome, so since AMD's Threadripper motherboards are ATX form factors this means clearly that it will work with my case!

Nice, this cleared things up! Thanks!
