instead of the 2700x i suggest a regular 2700

Not when the price is $289, I don't. Plus he doesn't have an aftermarket cooler listed, and the stock on the 2700X is a bit better.

Build looks pretty good, btw!

better design compared to the g3. It seems like the g3 is marketed as better since the packaging seems to be nicer but function over aesthetics

I think I got the cheapest EVGA Gold I could when I ordered my parts. Like $45 or $49..I never hear it running, and I'm not sure if the fan even kicks on or not, even while gaming. I've read other people having problems, but mine runs like butter.

If you want to go with ryzen, the asrock taichi x470 (non ultimate) is a better board for overclocking. The strix-f looks nice but the taichi and crosshair hero vii are the best x470 boards.

I just had the X470-F Strix, and if you can swing the price difference, the Crosshair is totally worth it, especially if you plan to upgrade next year, like me ? The crosshair DOES overclock better! My computer runs faster and is more stable than when I had Strix. If it's pricey, then I don't think it's worth the extra $100, though...

Agree with this guy. If you have a larger budget (more than $1200 or $1500) you might as well go intel.
