I don't think you understood my question. I'm asking about just if i would be able to transfer an SSD or HDD to a different computer, and have access to all my files

yea,I don't know why you wouldn't. It will take it a minute because it has to change permissions. But yes you can.

You can keep and access the files but for it to be properly bootable without issues you will need to reinstall windows.

That's not true at all I took the HDD from my core 2 quad desktop I build, and am using it in my AMD FX 8350 build right now. If you uninstall drivers you won't have any problems.

That's true but that can be a hassle, but would probably be better if it's what the OP is going for.

If he is going from Intel build to Intel build he shouldn't have any problems. One for sure would be the HD graphics but that is a easy device manager fix.
