There isn't really anything better than Malwarebytes, there are others available but all of them feel like cheap knock-offs of Malwarebytes.

Malwarebytes is pretty much as good as you can get.

Tbh I wouldn't pay for any anti-malware.

Regular windows defender scans and having free malwarebytes as a backup should do the trick, just as long as you don't download random crap.

Windows defender is pretty good now so I'd just scan with that every week and then keep malwarebytes as a last resort if you feel defender isn't doing the job.

Really? I didn't realize Windows Defender was better than I thought. I mean, you know lol. And yeah, MBAM has always been good, which is the issue. Here is my reasoning, back when I had Norton in the late 90's, those AVs like Norton and McAfee were pretty good. But since they became so widely used, they had become the target of hackers. So, I fear things like that could happen with MBAM in terms of its protection module. To be fair though, I don't know much about how efficient AV and/or Anti-malware protection modules are. Maybe I have nothing to fear?
