I was doing some cable management the other day and was thinking about how many different wires there are in a pc.

one rabbit hole after another, I concluded that some energy has to escape a wire when traveling through it.

so any research regarding this subject would be greatly appropriated!

Main question: is there a way to capture lost energy from wires to be stored on a battery.

Is it viable?

Can I have your sources?

energy is usually lost in terms of heat/ light/ sound.

and material of wire is copper covered with plastic.

only if the copper is ultra thin that would cause high resistance to generate heat energy. so in reality you can assume no energy lost.

All energy will be disspiated somehow, through friction, radiation, and what not. It is inpossible to used all the energy store and converted.

I will read the law of conservation of energy! Thank you for the pointer.

Not it sure what disspaited means perhaps you mean dissipated? Either way doesn’t make much sense to me; but I do understand that energy isn’t lost in the aspect of non existence. I’m just curious how much energy could be harnessed from all the cords in a computer.
