Need help please

I have a x299 e gaming asus motherboard with 2x8 trident z 3200 on c1 and d1 but they are only running at 2133 and when I turn xmp on my pc wont turn back on unless I pop the battery out. Any ideas?

I've seen more trouble posts about XMP than practically anything else here....

Leave it off

How do I get it to run at the rates 3200? I even tried setting the timing and frequency myself but it did the same thing

he paid for XMP, it should atleast run a little better then stock, even if the cpu unstable at the full 3200

try an XMP profile that is higher then stock but not the full 3200

I will try when I get home from work later. So memory doesnt always go as high as advertised or could it be something else limiting it?

oh it's for sure not the memory itself, it's the cpu/chipset/imcthat's no keping up.
