Hey guys need some help for budget gaming pc just to run fortnite. I let my son install it on my computer and he really enjoyed gaming on a PC as compared to console.

So my 11 year old wants a gaming pc for Christmas. I can't afford to build a brand new pc due to I have twins on the way in feburary and I want to teach him to build his first pc.

What I have so far is a:

i3 3220

i5 3570 3.1,

mobo Asrock HG1m-Vg3,

a 250gb Samsung 860 SSd,

8gb of some generic ram

Have a power supply but its a super old corsair. Don't want to use it because its making a weird sound.

Got like 250 dollars to spend.

With what I have could I add a decent GPU and a power supply to run fortnite and maybe some other games.

Appreciate any advice.

So from your guys advice I am thinking of going with this.

Update

So I decided to go with this.

GIGABYTE Radeon RX 570 DirectX 12 GV-RX570GAMING-4GD 4GB 256-Bit for 149.99

CORSAIR CX Series CX550 550W ATX12V 80 PLUS for 49.99 with 20 dollar mail in rebate

ROSEWILL Micro ATX Mini Tower Computer for 22.99 wanted an RGB case but didn't find one I think he'd like.

COOLER MASTER R4-S2S-124K-GP Silent Case Fan (4-Pack)

Let me know what you guys think.

For $250USD?

You can probably get a Corsair CX450M and something like a GTX 1050 Ti or an RX 570.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!
