pc performance problems

16gb ram

rx 470 8gb vram

650w corsair psu

pc has very slow performance in windows and in google chrome(my brother opens pc starts discord then watches youtube video and at the end of the video pc freezes and he presses reset button,he tells me everyday it does this.

i open pc go to facebook and some times weird artifacts are showing or its not rendering like it should.i start pc and some times it shows the windows loading screen and stuff and then the monitor gets no signal,i try to unplug and plug hdmi or try different one no solution except reset button,today i had to reset the pc 5 times cause either no screen,or it would not past windows loading screen.

i have 3 drives C which is ssd and has windows,D which is where i put games,and F which is drive for photos and as a backup.

i want to format C and D but don't want to delete F how do i do that,i have windows 10 1803 and i want to do it today cause its so bad performance plz answer quick

yes 3 seperate drives and i want to clean install windows 10 and install to C which is ssd and also format D to remove junk

On the windows installer it should ask you where you want to install so it should show all drives seperately. Doing so you can format drive C and D there and select C as the install drive. If you're reeally scared you can deconect drive F so the system can't touch it.

Double check for driver updates first especially for the GPU, my cousin has an rx-580 that would eventually cause his computer to shut off after like 30 mins and once he did driver updates the issue was gone

Sounds like your windows is corrupted causing errors, otherwise it sounds like ram / video card or driver problem. Depends how old the pc is in that case, but more likely just windows corruption. Its easy to reinstall windows when all your drives are separate you don't have to worry about loosing data. As Thekingofsalt said just physically disconnect the other drives when installing windows.
