Some questions about tweaking HP OMEN 17-AN198MS + i7-8750H + GTX 1070

1. Is the SSD NVME enabled? Product description page says it is, but I see no option to switch from AHCI in BIOS.

2. Are there multiple BIOS/UEFI in this system? I can't get to it with any key press before Windows starts.

3. What are my options to expand storage? Spare 2.5" bays and M.2/PCIE slots?

4. Option for Intel XMP in BIOS? Alternative to tweak memory?

5. The GTX 1070, is it the "mobile" version or the "regular" version?

6. Can i7-8750H performance be enhanced? Overclocked? Recommendations for clocks and voltage?

7. Recommendations for tweaking GTX 1070?

Consulting the service manual:

1. For your configuration, the SSD is PCIe (NVMe) based.

2. To access BIOS, turn on or restart the computer, quickly press ESC, and then press F10.

3. The laptop has 2 M.2 slot (1 empty) and 1 SATA slot.

4. Omen laptops does not support XMP.

5. "N17E-G2", i.e., standard laptop GTX 1070 (non Max-Q).

6. Can't be effectively "overclocked", but can be tuned via Intel XTU to have better sustained performance.

7. Depend on your use case: overclock if you want more performance, downclock/undervolt for quiet and chill operation.

1. Do I have to enable NVME somewhere so that it's not stuck in AHCI and therefore inferior speed?

4. How do I tweak RAM without XMP?

6. Would feeding the CPU more voltage make it go faster, even if it can't be overclocked? What settings can I adjust to make it perform better?
