I finally have enough to purchase a hefty build for gaming. I tried to be as cost efficient in the parts that I chose, but if there are any ways I could make it better or choose parts that are of higher quality in terms of performance and cost, I’d appreciate it.

Overall it looks fine, nothing stands out super harsh.

Couple things:

- I would get a better motherboard, just for a better overclock

- The pc to monitor ratio is overkill. The computer will be far more than capable of doing 1080p 144hz.

Save yourself the 32 GB RAM for gaming, stick with 16. If it's really not enough later on in a few years, get another kit.

Instead of the 32 GB, get for the difference a better monitor with at least 1440p, the 2080 will handle that just fine.

Out of curiosity can a 1440p monitor change its resolution to 1080p? One of my favorite games is CS:GO and it benefits greatly from a higher hertz monitor.

What motherboard would you suggest?

You can get a high hz 1440 monitor. I also play CS- I run a 1440p monitor at 100hz.

For motherboard I'd look at something like an Asus Prime

I was looking at the ASUS Z390-A Prime because I like there mobos but was hesitant to buy it. They looked fairly similar in terms of performance, so I went with the cheaper one. I think the ASUS has an extra M.2 slot, while the MSI has a newer audio chipset.
