Pc configuration suggestion

I need suggestion for pc as im thinking to upgrade it. I work as a vfx artist in game industry i use the softwares Houdini, Maya,3ds Max and I use the game engines Unity and unreal. Bascially pc should be good for both rendering and games.As RTX recently poped up in the market i getting bit confused and now intel 9th generation came up ,Ryzen gave tough competition. Which one should i prefer and i have no clue about mother board. My buget is around $4000.

 

Any suggestions would be Helpful.

Wait till new ryzen to upgrade cpu's for sure . And for production I would stick to 1080ti because of drivers, If non quadro are not "officially" suported to those programs just a new driver would make your work more dificult.

I would wait for the new ryzen and look on the gpu's by then

well, wouldn't quadro's benefit from that? I would listen to the suggestion given by @Peskanova as they are likely to be presented at CES.

Thank you for your suggestion. Right now im having geforce gtx 970, processor is i7 5th gen.

I would look for the new ryzen + 1080ti or , wait to buy a 2080ti till ryzen.
