where can I buy an atx back plate?

dalonico

the title.  im aking a case of my own out of wood.  but i want the rear part that holds the i/o shield and pci slots to be the "original"  one,  given that we can see everywhere that said part is usually just a module thats riveted to  rest of the case. I've looked for the darn thing for a while already,  used multiple search wording and tried different sites,  and I just  cant seem to find one.

in case you wonder still,  what i want would be exactlt this: https://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Mods-Modular-I-Panel/dp/B00KJ0T4B2

(but ofc at a goddamn reasonable price. its a mass produced part that goes into even 20 bucks whole cases,  so I aim for a far better deal than whats presented in the link.)

lots of thanks in advance for any usable help,  really apreciate it.

Find an old case on ebay /graigslist for $1. Drill out the rivets. Recycle rest of case. Backplate for a dollar.

If you've got time you could probably get a bunch of them for cheap imported from China. Other than that, unless you get lucky with finding one on eBay, buying a cheap case is the best way to go. Where are you located? We could have a look for you, if you're willing to say.

Also be careful, wood catches fire.

we are giving you the answer. Find a crap case, cut the back off, and use that. It's not our fault you are refusing to acknowledge our answers.

now this is an answer from someone actually willing to help within the realm of what the topic is about (thank you). I tried ebay and didnt got even an abdsurdly priced one, as I mentioned before: I think it may be my search terminology being just a bit off (hence im asking here for help from other thinking beings :b). I'd be cool improting so long the price per part remains reasonable, tried alibaba aswell but couldnt find crap:B (help plz) also, about the wood burning... if you have a link to some yt demo of how ez is to burn it... bc trust me, in a younger time I actively tried to get stuff burning, and I still dont get how some places get such super fires while in my location it seems to be a thing out of legends (tldr: id be down for it to burn, would be a cool first lol. - our home is build in such a way that it would not cause any harm -

I mean, I can help you.  But its more expensive.  I can use my Google-Fu (and Im actually tempted NOT to give you the links below to save my keystrokes, because in the end you are better off finding a case for dirt cheap and popping the rivets.  But since this is beneath you and only good enough for us plebs, Ill continue.) for you, only to show you that yours sucks. :)

We are telling you that you can't. We are giving you a solution. Either accept it, or stop posting.

His answer is more complicated - you have to contact the manufacturer of existing cases and have them ship you QC failed parts. they will often not do this to areas outside of china.

How do I know? I tried getting some QF Failed tempered glass panels for my case because I wanted to test how good the TG is. They said no, we do not ship any partially manufactured products.

90% of cases are made by a single factory.

Those parts are more expensive than some entire cases. I got my fully tempered glass case for less than those are selling for.

If you could only read, you would understand that with a single Google nomenclature (feel free to look that word up.) I found those.  Those links ABSOLUTELY get you a starting point for finding the exact tray you need. But I hope the bad taste I left in your mouth with the beginning of my post is enough to have you NOT peruse those links.

Either that, or you don't even know what you need.  Which I am beginning to sense is the case.  Have fun with that fire!
