Hello people,

I recently bought an ASUS Strix GTX 1060 6GB for my current system which is a prebuilt ASUS, but I'm planning soon to make my own custom build, with that 1060, since my computer has only 8 gb of ram and an old i7, which is fine for now but I would like to have something newer and more powerful next year. Help me choosing the parts including that 1060 I already have (I plan to upgrade the gpu too in a year or two).

I use my computer mainly for work (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, AutoCAD..) and music production (Ableton), but I also do game on it, so I'd like a machine that does all of this decently.

Also keep in mind that I will buy one thing at the time so budget may or may not be a problem, just don't go for anything crazy.

What are you leaning towards? Intel or AMD build? Also, a rough budget is always a good idea to start. You can always upgrade/change parts as your budget allows but I doubt people here will be able to judge what exactly your threshold is for "just don't go for anything crazy"

Another thing is when it is actually time to build, prices for hardware might differ a lot (just look at DRAM and GPU prices 6 months ago)

Idk about the build it's the first time I decide to do something like that. Let's say my budget is 1000 - 1200€, but I don't have that money right now.

and you will have to set some kind of budget.

I live in Italy, and I have a 21:9 2560x1080 widescreen monitor

This will handle 1080p really good.
Also the 8 Core CPU will benefit you in photoshop and such.
The case is a placeholder, i try not to make recommendations on cases.
